About Us
Mac Potts is the proprietor of A Jewelry Place. A native of Dallas, Mac was raised in Los Angeles where he graduated from The Brentwood School and attended Pepperdine University in Malibu. He worked in the IT industry for Sabre and Stream before taking himself and his family on sabbatical to England where they lived from 2002-2005. When he returned to Dallas, Mac decided to pursue his dream of acting. Although he achieved minor success as an actor (meaning he got paid check him out on IMBD), Mac missed the structure of regular work. Long time clients of A Jewelry Place, Mac and his wife Camille were chatting with the previous owner, Bao Nguyen, in the fall of 2006, when Bao mentioned that he wanted to sell the business. After much consideration, Mac decided to go for it! He began working along side Bao in January of 2007, and completed the purchase of A Jewelry Place on July 1, 2007. Mac expects to continue in the traditions of Garland Harper, the founder, and Bao, by offering personal service in all aspects of the estate jewelry business. Bao’s long time employees, Bench Jeweler Tuyen Thi Minh Nguyen and Sales Manager Andy Dang, are assisting Mac in providing the continuity of service that is so important to our customers.
